Your goals don’t need to be your goals

Why I will still try to get rich and famous even if being rich and famous will not make me happy

Many people say money and wealth will not make you happy

They are probably correct

But having the goal of fame and wealth to work towards can be enough to make you happy- just by the fact of providing you a clear purpose and goal

Therefore it could be argued that although wealth and fame do not make you happy the pursuit of them can

Or having any goal can, because it provides purpose, it just happens that fame and money are easily measurable goals whose progress can be seen. Making them attractive targets for becoming our focus even if we are subconsciously aware they will not actually make us happy

Also fame = earning respect of others and ppl to share your life with

Money = being able to live the lifestyle you want

+ Both enable you to aid the causes you want to help

Obviously if the lifestyle you want is built on material goods (and you don’t realise buying more and more won’t make u happier) then money may not help you

Likewise if you realise don’t realise fame is both a blessing (shared life, aid causes) and a curse (lack of privacy + exposure to weird individuals) then it will not help you either
