The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and the rest of the Millenium Trilogy, Review🇸🇪
⛰ What It's About
For anyone who hasn’t read the books
These are hard to explain
I first read the start of ‘The girl with the dragon tattoo,’ the first book in the series, years ago, but did not keep reading.
However this Christmas, when I gave them another chance, I loved them.
They start with a lot of mystery.
What turns out to be necessary build up but initially feels like a less exciting introduction.
However once the plot starts to flow...
wow these books hook you, in a way that I can only compare to Dan Brown’s books.
🔍 How I Discovered It
My mum had read the books so they were in the house, I had seen how popular they were so wanted to give them a chance.
🧠 Thoughts
as much as I loved this entire trilogy, I could not bring myself to read the follow up books by a different author.
That is not a bad thing.
It is because the trilogy feels like such a complete set and story that adding to it, for me at least, feels unnecessary and only has a chance of taking away from the way I feel about the characters after reading the original.
What I Liked About It
the fast paced style. How quickly once you are reading you get re-hooked.
What I Didn't Like About It
as great as they are they have one problem, they are a cheep novel. One you won’t necessarily learn too much from. An adrenaline packed rollercoaster more than a philosophical book with profound revelations
Who Would Like It?
anyone who likes thrillers
