Protests, protagonists and prejudice ǀ Opinion
Its the 3rd of June 2020. It would be an understatement to describe the year as crazy. Just when we thought Coronavirus was the worst that could happen we get the news of yet another killing of a black man by police officers in America.
These are the thoughts I put on my Instagram yesterday as the intensity of protests in America and action being taken by the public only increases.
I wanted to make it clear what I think: That what is happening in America is insane; the racism and disrespect by police officers is completely unacceptable - to George Floyd specifically, but to the peaceful protesters as well. Large changes are clearly needed.
The crazy thing is this shouldn't be a political issue at all. But when the POTUS is threatening protesters with bullets... I mean words can't really describe what I feel.

I don't really like being political but when the president is describing Minneapolis as "great"

I'm not sure that ^ is what most people would describe as great - shooting at random citizens.
When I say this shouldn't be a political issue I mean that there shouldn't be a divide between the left and right, clearly political action is needed.

Those were my thoughts on it last night, I couldn't write a full post today because I don't have to much spare time. Should be back to normal tomorrow though.
